I purchased this item because I have always wanted a locket. I like to accessorize my outifts with real gold jewelry and this was a nice addition to my collection. The locket itself is pretty and I like the etching. The etching adds color and visual interest to the piece. Still, the locket is light and does not feel gold filled. I chose to replace the necklace with a heavier, more secure one because I plan to wear this locket often.
